With letterpress text and illustrated with 35 color and monochrome lithographed plates, each with captioned tissue guard, and each mounted on larger sheet and in window mat, as issued. Original stiff printed wrappers, wear and separations along extremities, unevenly toned; gutter split at front free endpaper, creasing to same; scattered creasing and chipping to tissue guards; scattered small spotting and soiling to mats.

Large portfolio of lithographed portraits by Russian-born artist Savely Sorine (1878-1953), including portraits of the DuPont, Kahn, and Obolensky families, as well as portraits of Anna Pavlova, and other musical and artistic figures. Uncommon in original wrappers.
